The “Palabra de Mujer” Festival (Word of Woman Festival) emerged a year ago from the need to give voice and recognition to women through different artistic expressions. Its predecessor is the Puro Cuento Festival, founded in Costa Rica three years ago. It was not until last year that the organizers decided to give it a social twist in that country and donate to the city of Toluca an event with a campaign to stop street harassment.
